Puppies, village coffee, and new writing

Hey lovely readers!

It’s Sapphic September, so what better time to get in the spirit than by picking up a copy of Racing Hearts? Can you believe we only have three months left in the year? Where does the time go?

I apologize for my absence, but hopefully, absence really does make the heart grow fonder. 😊

One of the biggest changes in my world lately has been our new pup, Bodie. He’s an 8-month-old Australian Cattle Dog, and he’s brought some serious new energy into our home. It’s been so much fun watching him experience new things. Today, he discovered rain—and promptly tried to catch it with his tongue.

Of course, adding a puppy to the household has meant adjusting our time for training, walking, and playing. We question our sanity on a daily basis, but he’s such a sweetheart. And he’s so completely different from our other pups that it’s been fun getting to know his personality.

I also had the great fortune to be featured as a local author at Village Well Books & Coffee in Culver City, CA. It’s a fabulous independent bookstore that does a wonderful job supporting indie authors. I was so proud and thankful for the opportunity to be included and to have Racing Hearts there.

And, of course, I’ve been busy writing! I’m working on a new short story for Sapphic Eclectic: Volume 7, which is due out at the end of the year—and the anthology is free, so you’ll definitely want to check it out.

My new story takes place in Hawaii and has a little mystical component to it. If you haven’t read my previous submission, for volume five you can find it here: along with some other amazing stories from some wonderful authors.

I hope you’re all doing well, enjoying the last bits of summer, and maybe finding a good sapphic story to curl up with.

Hope to see you again soon! ❤️
